About the Author

From an autistic author to the world

Books that embrace, respect, and inspire.

Degan Doodles was born from lived experience, empathy and the belief that every child deserves to learn in a way that respects who they are.

My Story

Why Degan Doodles Exists

From an autistic author to the world: books that embrace, respect, and inspire.

I am Sarah, an autistic woman who found in books a way to transform my own challenges into paths of inclusion. Throughout my life, I have faced many difficulties — from putting my thoughts into words to being understood in a world that does not always respect the time and manner in which people like me learn. Even today, these challenges remain, but they have taught me that autism is not a limitation: it is a different, unique, and special way of being.

From this journey, Degan Doodles was born — a project created with love and empathy, dedicated to developing educational and accessible books for autistic and neurodivergent children, and for those with ADHD. My mission is to provide resources that not only teach, but also build confidence, encourage creativity, strengthen self-esteem, and show every child that they are capable.

I believe we all learn in our own time and in our own way. That is why every book I create is designed to be a genuine support tool, both for children and for the families, teachers, and therapists who walk alongside them.

More than simply publishing books, I want Degan Doodles to be a space of care, inclusion, and hope — where every child feels represented and respected, where every family finds tools to support their children with love, and where together we can build a world in which diversity is not only accepted, but truly celebrated.

What Guides the Work

The Values Behind Degan Doodles

Every book begins with the same goal: to create something useful, respectful and encouraging for children and the people who support them.

Respect

Children deserve resources that respect their pace, communication style and way of learning.

Inclusion

Every child should be able to see themselves welcomed and represented in learning materials.

Confidence

Learning experiences should help children feel capable, secure and proud of their progress.

Creativity

Stories, coloring and hands-on activities can make learning more enjoyable and meaningful.

The Mission

Books Created to Support Real Childhood Moments

Degan Doodles brings together illustrated stories, daily routines, coloring, dot marker activities, tracing, school experiences and gentle Bible stories.

The goal is not to make every child learn in the same way. It is to offer different ways to engage, explore and grow.

These books are created for children, but also with families, teachers and therapists in mind — people who are often looking for practical, approachable resources they can use together.
